Anindita Chatterjee Bhaumik, LICSW
Religion and spirituality are often mistakenly described as strictly personal, interior phenomena – matters of the individual heart, mind, or soul. But in fact, the religious lives of New Yorkers are inextricably tied to our relationships with families, friends, and loved ones. Our May 10 Social Work and Religious Diversity conference will start off by exploring “The Religious Lives of New York Families” through discussions of Jewish, Christian, Hindu, and Muslim family life.
On that panel we will hear from Anindita Chatterjee Bhaumik, LICSW, a clinician in private practice with Boston Evening Therapy Associates, as well as a Reiki Master and Hindu community leader. She has dedicated her life to raising awareness about the perils of violence and its ramifications on children, women, and families. Anindita is a lifelong adherent of Sanatana Dharma, popularly known has Hinduism, and has been an active member of the Hindu Temple Society of North America and the Vedanta Society of New York.
Social Workers and mental healthcare professionals are encouraged to register for this one day conference. Continuing Education Credits are available for New York State LMSWs and LCSWs.
