Please join us on April 7th to explore the religious and spiritual coping resources that provide strength and support for diverse New Yorkers facing personal hardships or communal crises.
A featured speaker at this conference will be Rev. Dr. Khadijah Matin is Vice President for healthcare chaplaincy at the Association of Muslim Chaplains. She is also an Adjunct Dean for the One Spirit Learning Alliance’s Interspiritual Counseling Program, and a spiritual leader and counselor in New York’s Muslim and interfaith communities. She holds an MS in Education from Fordham University, was ordained as an Interfaith Minister by the One Spirit Interfaith Seminary in 2006, received a Certificate in Interspiritual Counseling in 2010, and earned her D.Min. from New York Theological Seminary in 2012.
The conference is cosponsored by the Interfaith Center of New York, the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services, and the Psychotherapy and Spirituality Institute. It will help all social service and mental health care providers build their multifaith cultural competence, while offering New York LMSWs and LCSWs seven continuing education credit hours approved to meet state licensing requirements.
