We are witnessing unprecedented attacks against our immigrant communities which are escalating by the day. The Trump administration’s cruelty knows no limits—handcuffing children in Sackets Harbor, disappearing New Yorkers to CECOT in El Salvador, and detaining both citizens and non-citizens without due process.
As these abuses of power continue on the federal level, our communities are asking: where are our New York elected leaders? We have delivered the legislative solutions and we need to protect immigrant New Yorkers immediately: the New York for All Act, which would broadly prohibit local and state agencies from colluding with ICE, and the Dignity not Detention Act, which would prevent local jails from contracting ICE to expand their detention capacity and ban private detention centers in New York State. It is now time for leadership to take a stand and we ask that you join us in this call. Let it be clear: silence and inaction is complicity.
RSVP by clicking here or the button below. Deadline to register is May 8, 2025!
We need all hands on deck to ensure our calls for action are not ignored! Bring your signs and let’s make some noise in solidarity with our immigrant communities.
If you have any questions please feel free to email Linda Flor Brito at linda@immdefense.org for the New York for All coalition or Rosa Cohen-Cruz at rosac@bronxdefenders.org for the Dignity Not Detention Coalition.
