The Interfaith Center of New York extends our deepest sympathy to the Sikh Community world-wide and condolences to the families and loved ones of the at least 25 people killed in the recent bombing of a Sikh Temple in Kabul, Afghanistan — even as the number of coronavirus-infections doubled in 24 hours.
Religiously-based violence has no place in our world but, as UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres points out, the deadly coronavirus highlights its futility, “End the sickness of war and fight the disease that is ravaging our world. It starts by stopping the fighting everywhere. Now.”
