In April, The Interfaith Center of New York and the Harlem Community Justice Center held a volunteer training session, to help volunteers:
- Develop hard and soft skills for more effective volunteer interactions with returning citizens
- Become more comfortable with having conversation with returning citizens
- Develop engagement skills, generate action set volunteers can take to support reentry
- Return to our respective houses of worship to build community support for returning or at-risk citizens
