“City of Refuge” was a 24-hour program of actions protesting abuse and discrimination against refugees both in the U.S. and abroad. Organized by numerous citywide groups, Tuesday’s actions included education workshops, a demonstration outside the Wall Street Trump building, and an outdoor candlelight vigil at Trinity, where demonstrators held battery-powered tea lights and listened as clergy members read aloud the names of scores of refugees who had recently lost their lives while searching for a new home.
