Although registration is now closed for this event, we want to highlight the important work that will be done in the final segment of the day. Hands-on civil disobedience training, with practical and ethical guidelines for effective nonviolent direct action — will provide the tools community leaders need to participate in the Poor People’s Campaign’s 40 Days of Moral Action, the Micah Institute’s ongoing advocacy work, and other community struggles for justice.
The training will be led by:
Brittany Ramos DeBarros, Member of About Face: Veterans Against the War, and of the New York Poor People’s Campaign Coordinating Committee.
Joe Paparone, Lead Organizer for the Labor-Religion Coalition of New York State, and member of New York Poor People’s Campaign Coordinating Committee
