The Interfaith Center of New York (ICNY) and the Advocacy Institute (AI) had an impactful conversation with diverse faith leaders and community members about the new faces in NYC budgeting and legislative process. The event was moderated by David Ng of the Advocacy Institute, Rev. Dr. Chloe Breyer of ICNY and Mouhamed Kaba of ICNY.
Diverse faith leaders and community members learned about the variety of changes that have been rolling out in NYC government and its programs. The forum offered participants information about NYC’s key players and power structures, as well as the review of the NYC budget process. Participants also participated in breakout sessions and discussed ways that individuals in this forum can help offer solutions on ways the city can better address homelessness, mental health, cure violence, technology, workforce development trainings and youth development.
