Young Muslims of today are forging the Islam of tomorrow. Muslim millennials are often depicted either as radicalized promoters of Islamic global dominion or champions of democracy. But what do these two competing images tell us about the roughly 450 million young Muslims in the world today? And what, if anything, about the future of Islam?
This forum gathers the voices and stories of a new Muslim generation and asks them to define their vision of Islam in the 21st century. Panelists include Khalid Latif, executive director and chaplain, Islamic Center at New York University and Linda Sarsour, director, Arab American Association of New York. RSVP to CRCevent@fordham.edu or (212) 636-7347. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.fordham.edu/ReligCulture.
