The main reason behind the above limitations is that we wanted Staten Islanders to enjoy and benefit from this first of its kind event, and only have limited number of seats.  Our aim is to take a step towards building even more bridges of understanding and respect between the different communities of Staten Island.  The tensions of the past few years and the scapegoating of certain communities affects our collective health, and we wanted to take a step towards better quality of life for all.  So if you live off the Island, we’re sorry that we’re unable to host you this time.  Please consider this an idea and request that we work together to host similar events where you are.

Please RSVP NOW with your full name, full address, and phone number to 911siComingTogether@gmail.com and spread the word to other Islanders.  We hope you will be part of this effort by attending, so don’t delay and RSVP NOW to make sure you have a seat.  If we’re overbooked and unable to accommodate you this time, please forgive us and we look forward to having you at a future event.

The event is part of the “Love Your Neighbor” weekend program where houses of worship and other people of conscience around the Island will dedicate sermons and host events about the values of respect, compassion, and non-violence.

Sponsored by (list in formation):
