Tomorrow, May Day, tens of thousands will march in New York City and across New York State to support labor rights, immigrant rights and jobs for all. With the introduction of the Senate’s comprehensive immigration reform bill on April 17th, this year’s May Day Rally will be an important opportunity to highlight immigrant voices and the urgent need to fix the broken immigration system. Speakers will include labor union presidents and leaders in the immigrant rights movement. The rally will culminate in a Call to Action to urge Congress to enact meaningful immigration reform this year. To RSVP, email labrelig@aol.com. Please join the faith contingent among labor, community, and immigrant rights organizations tomorrow afternoon.
