August 5 marks the one-year anniversary of the tragic killing of six people at the Sikh Temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.
The Temple will be involved in a number of remembrance activities, some of which are listed in the image attached to this post. But for those of you who are unable to get to Oak Creek, please consider participating in the “National Day of Seva (Community Service)” being planned for August 3 in cities around the country.
For example, in New York City, people will gather to clean up Morningside Park (113th and Morningside Drive). To learn more, contact Jagdeep Singh at dayofseva@sikhcoalition.org.
Information on the National Day of Seva can be found at http://www.sikhcoalition.org/get-involved/act-now/national-day-of-seva-8-3-13. This site also offers information on how you can send messages of support to the members of the Sikh Temple in Oak Creek.
