On February 20, Consul General Jarl Frijs-Madsen of the Denmark Consulate General hosted an interfaith memorial and dialogue meeting following the terrorist attack in Copenhagen, February 14-15. ICNY’s executive director, Rev. Chloe Breyer, and Dr. Sarah Sayeed, ICNY’s Director of Community Partnerships, along with the Commissioner from the Mayor’s Office of International Affairs and leaders from religious and community organizations came together to honor the victims and explore solutions to enhance interreligious and intercultural tolerance and dialogue as well as non-violent tools to secure peace and freedom of expression in an open and respectful exchange.
