Dr. Mary Ragan – Social Work & Religious Diversity Conference Presenter

April 29, 2015 ICNY

Meet Dr. Mary Ragan – one of the diverse religious leaders and faith-based social service providers speaking at the June 17th Social Work and Religious Diversity conference.

ragan

Dr. Mary Ragan, LCSW, is the Director of the Psychotherapy and Spirituality Institute’s Trinity Counseling Center, and an Adjunct Professor at the Columbia University School of Social Work, where she regularly teaches a course on “Spirituality and Social Work.” In addition to her work as a clinician and educator, Dr. Ragan has served as a consultant to a wide range of faith-based and secular organizations.  Her research has explored the contours of traumatic grief, and she has done trauma work with first-responders and family members after 9/11, and with survivors of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

The Social Work and Religious Diversity conference is open to all social service and mental health care providers, and offers 8 continuing education credits for New York State LMSWs and LCSWs. We hope you can join us on June 17th, to work with Dr. Mary Ragan and others.
