Meet Rabbi Dr. Nancy H. Wiener – one of the diverse religious leaders and faith-based social service providers speaking at the June 17th Social Work and Religious Diversity conference.
Rabbi Dr. Nancy H. Wiener is the founder and Clinical Director of the Jacob and Hilda Blaustein Center for Pastoral Counseling at Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion, an innovative program that integrates coursework, fieldwork, supervision, and mentoring, to help rabbinical students learn to support the intellectual, spiritual, and psychological lives of their congregations. She is the author or co-author of a number of works on Jewish chaplaincy, including Maps and Meaning: Levitical Models for Contemporary Care, and has been a leading voice for LGBT inclusion in the Reform movement and the broader Jewish community.
The Social Work and Religious Diversity conference is open to all social service and mental health care providers, and offers 8 continuing education credits for New York State LMSWs and LCSWs. We hope you can join us on June 17th, to work with Rabbi Dr. Nancy H. Wiener and others.
