Rusti Miller-Hill speaks about her experience in the prison system and how she established a new life after release. Ms. Miller-Hill is a graduate of Harlem Community Justice Center’s “Raising My Voice” program, which empowers individuals to tell their own stories, to break stereotypes of what it means to be a formerly incarcerated individual, and to give back to communities and become advocates for change. This segment was part of ICNY’s day-long retreat for faith leaders supporting reentry. For more info on the faith leader retreat, see https://interfaithcenter.org/archives/9638.
