April 30 Sanctuary Symposium to discuss the experience of immigrants & undocumented NY’ers regarding the impact of ICE

Join Democracy Now! co-host Juan Gonzalez for the first installment of the Sanctuary Symposium: An evening of discussion about the experience of immigrants and undocumented New Yorkers regarding the impact of ICE in our community. The panel will include immigration law expert Angela Fernandez (Northern Manhattan Coalition for Immigrant Rights), Rabbi Jeffrey Gale (Hebrew Tabernacle), Father Luis Barrios (Holyrood Church – Iglesia Santa Cruz), and Attorney Geoff Trenchard (Legal representative of Amanda Morales).

This interfaith panel will facilitate a dialogue on threatening patterns of behavior and actions taken by ICE that are endangering our community, followed by questions from the audience.

The Sanctuary Symposium will be presented in English, but will offer live translation for Spanish speakers via wireless headsets which will be distributed at the door. If you or anyone in your party requires translation, please register for a Spanish language ticket to reserve a headset.
