The Interfaith Center of New York is proud to celebrate our colleague Hatou Camara, who was honored with a Citation of Merit from The Office of The Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson in recognition of her dedication to community advocacy and civic engagement.
Hatou was recognized for her work strengthening connections between Muslim communities and essential services across New York City through her role at ICNY. Her leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to uplifting others reflect the very best of the Bronx and the communities we serve.
At ICNY, Hatou coordinates access to legal services for asylum seekers while building partnerships with houses of worship and legal organizations that support migrants and refugees.
We are grateful to have such a gifted and dedicated community leader on our team. Congratulations, Hatou — this recognition is well deserved!
