Location: Union Theological Seminary, 3041 Broadway, New York, NY 10027
Union Theological Seminary, Auburn Seminary, The Interfaith Center of New York, the Micah Institute at New York Theological Seminary, the Riverside Church, and the Drum Major Institute invite you to a multi-faith prayer breakfast. This breakfast comes after a series of successful multi-faith prayer breakfasts at Union Theological Seminary, including a breakfast supporting the #BlackLivesMatter movement and a breakfast featuring Moral Mondays’ Rev. Dr. William Barber II. At the breakfast, we will call for June 12th-14th to be “Clergy, Community, and Cops Sabbath Weekend.”
We invite you to join the breakfast, as we seek to unify the faith community with other community leaders and the police. We will call for faith leaders throughout the city to spend the weekend engaging our congregations in productive dialogue to improve community-police relations. This can take the form of inviting police precincts to worship services, community events, or intentionally structured dialogue. Please RVSP here.
