The Free Legal Clinic is a 40-foot long mobile office space, staffed by NewYork State attorneys and court clerks, that can travel into each boroughand provide free legal consultations to those in need. Legal counseling willbe offered in the areas of domestic violence, child custody and visitation,consumer debts (including bankruptcy/foreclosures) landlord/tenant issues,divorces, and “U Visas” (for immigrant victims of domestic violence).
Consultations will be approximately 30 minutes long. Inaddition there will be free workshops topics include Domestic Violence andothers to be determined.
There are a limited amount of appointments available for the first session, and a limited amount of walk-in consultations will be available.
