Dates and Times: Tuesday, January 6th, 12:00 PM, Wednesday, January 7th, 10:00 AM
Location: Brooklyn Borough Hall, 209 Joralemon Street
Brooklyn Borough Hall is excited to announce a historic exhibition of numerous 12th- and 13th-century manuscripts from St. Francis of Assisi, one of the most significant figures in the history of organized religion. This is the first time these artifacts have left Italy in 700 years, and it is currently the only scheduled opportunity for the public to view these documents in the United States. The exhibition is scheduled to run until Wednesday, January 14th, and it is free to the general public. Hours of operation can be found on www.brooklyn-usa.org.
On Tuesday, January 6th and Wednesday, January 7th, you are invited to view the manuscripts and take in the lecture on those two days set up especially for religious and faith-based leaders. You would enjoy this exhibition if you are a student of not only religious history, but world history as well. A flyer for this event is available here.
