Humans in Harmony Interfaith Panel Discussion

May 28, 2015 ICNY

Filed Under: New & Noteworthy, Program Archive

Date: Thursday, June 4
Time: 7:30 pm
Location: Lincoln Square Building, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 125 Columbus Ave. New York, NY 10023

What Does It Mean to Be a Muslim, a Jew, a Mormon?  Three religious leaders discuss the basics of their faiths.

The three most influential religions in the modern world relate to God, humanity and one another in very different ways. Understanding them better is the first step toward finding areas of shared concern and commitment. Join us as we explore the possibilities our faiths offer to the well-being of the world and the future of our children. An open Question and Answer period will follow the event, held in association with Amud ha-Shachar/First Light® and the One God, Many FaithsTM Interreligious Initiative.

Featuring:

RABBI John Crites-Borak
Founder and Director of Amud ha-Shachar/First Light®
and One God/Many Faiths™ Interreligious Initiatives

BISHOP Boyd Nelson
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints
Morningside Heights Ward, NY, NY Stake

MUSLIM LEADER Dr. Sarah Sayeed
Director of Community Partnerships at the Interfaith Center
of New York and a board member of Women in Islam, Inc.
