ICNY condemns Donald Trump remark on banning Muslims entry into the U.S.

The Interfaith Center of New York strongly condemns Donald Trump’s outrageous statement asserting that all Muslims be banned from entry into the United States for the foreseeable future. Scapegoating 1.6 billion Muslims based on the crimes of a few criminals, falls into the hands of ISIL, fueling their recruitment. Muslims are at the frontlines of fighting ISIL worldwide and within the US. Muslims are also the most likely casualties of ISIL’s depraved behavior. This xenophobic political rhetoric has no place in our diverse, freedom-loving democracy. Trump must end all anti-Muslim political antics once and for all, instead of fueling the cycle of violence.
