ICNY hosted Eight Syrian participants in the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Program tour called “Interfaith Dialogue and Tolerance”. The tour exposed the participants to the religious and ethnic diversity of the U.S. and examined how both the public and private sectors, including religious entities, work to address interethnic and interfaith issues, protect the rights of society’s minority and most vulnerable populations, and promote responsible governance and human rights practices. Syrian participants included, Ms. Massa ABOUJEIB Graphic Designer, Private Designing Office; Ms. Hala AL KHATIB Social Subjects Teacher, Daohat Al-Adab High School; Ms. Nour AL OMARI Student, Mass Media and English Literature, Damascus University; Ms. Sallama ALTUJJAR Teacher, Bara’ Typical Kindergarten; Ms. Rima DASSOUKI Owner, ARTIGO Gallery for Home Accessories; Ms. Nada KOTOB Business Consultant, Syrian Enterprise Business Center (SEBC); and Ms. Louna RAJAB Executive Manager and Partner, Architect and Consulting Engineer (ACE).
