The Interfaith Center of New York would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude and warm wishes to three extraordinary young women who have made a tremendous contribution to our interfaith work this summer. In June, ICNY was fortunate to be joined by three interns (pictured left to right), Natasha Japanwala, Allegra Wiprud, and Katherine Maxeiner.
Natasha and Allegra come to us from Princeton University, and Katherine (fondly known as Kassie) attends Carleton College.
Over the course of the summer, Natasha, Kassie and Allegra made significant contributions to ICNY’s Prisoner Reentry, Domestic Violence, Astoria Conversations and other Education programs. One of the interns developed a survey on communities’ experiences of violence that ICNY hopes to distribute broadly very soon. They also coordinated two important roundtable discussions (“LGBTQ and Religion,” and “Women in Religion”) that were very positively received, and have challenged ICNY to keep the discussions going after they return to school..
Natasha, Kassie and Allegra finish their internships at ICNY this week, and we at ICNY would like to publicly acknowledge their wonderful accomplishments, and to personally thank them for their kind and caring friendships. We keep faith that our paths will continue to cross, and we look forward to watching their brilliant futures unfold!
