Statement on the Murders of Israeli Embassy Staff

The Interfaith Center of New York offers our deepest sympathy to the family, friends, and colleagues of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim — two Israeli embassy staff members who were murdered last night in a vile act of antisemitic violence.  These young professionals were about to become engaged, but an act of hate stole their future from them.

We urge law enforcement to make sure the perpetrator is held accountable, and to protect all innocent people who may face backlash in the wake of this tragedy, due to ignorance, collective blame, or political expediency.
