Hineni (Hebrew for Here I am), a new dance performance by Sasha Soreff Dance Theater, draws its inspiration from ancient stories of divine calling — Abraham and the command to sacrifice his son, Moses at the burning bush – and invites us to wonder:
What are the defining moments we face in our lives, to heed a call, to claim our space, to take action? How do we respond?
Post-show discussions will be led by:
April 9 – Rabbi Ellen Lippmann, Kolot Chayeinu
April 10 – Rabbi Ayelet Cohen, Director of The Center for Jewish Living, The JCC in Manhattan
April 12 – Dr. Sarah Sayeed, Director of Community Partnerships, Interfaith Center of New York
