On Thursday, Sept. 27, ICNY’s Program Associate, Dr. Sarah Sayeed, will participate in a panel discussion on “The Civil Society and the Education on Human Rights as a tool for promoting religious tolerance,”co-chaired by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Italy, H.E. Mr. Giulio Terzi di Sant’Agata, and of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, H.E. Mr. Nasser Judeh. The Ministerial session will take place from 10.00 a.m. to 11.10 am and will feature key-note speeches from the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Ms. Navanethem Pillay, from the UNESCO Director General, Ms. Irina Bokova, and from the Special Adviser of the Secretary-General on the Prevention of Genocide, Mr. Adama Dieng.
This session will be followed by two successive expert-level interactive panels.
