Got Hope? Buddhist, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim Answers to a Big Question. A panel discussion co-sponsored by The Interfaith Center of New York and the Kane Street Synagogue. Without a sense of hope we could not build a better world. But how do our diverse religious traditions understand hope? How do their visions of the future shape the lives of individuals and communities? In the face of suffering, is the persistence of hope rational or helpful? These questions will be explored by a panel of distinguished teachers and community leaders: Rev. Dr. T. Kenjitsu Nakagaki, Rev. Stephen Muncie, Rabbi Sam Weintraub, and Dr. Sarah Sayeed. All are welcome to join the conversation. Tickets are $15 (cash only) at the door, including dinner. For more information contact office@kanestreet.org or 718-875-1550. Childcare available with email registration by October 22. A flyer for this event is available here.
