Join faith leaders, low-wage workers, congregants and organizers from across NYC in this spirit-filled service that aims to worship, give thanks and send blessings out in the name of justice..
As many of you are aware, clergy from across NYC have been working with low-wage workers and organizers to secure better pay for workers, more respect and increased wages. Thanks to the spiritual resolve of clergy leadership and low-wage workers, the struggle of the poor has been heard by people across the nation, including the President who recently called for the minimum wage to be increased. However, the wage increase that he has called for has yet to happen and even worse, it’s not enough. Workers in low-wage industries, including fast food, grocery and car wash want and deserve more. We encourage you to invite clergy and congregants, friends and family and help those in need.
