Post-Election Interfaith Service
Vigil for the Healing of the World

Wednesday, November 6, 7:00 – 8:00 pm
Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine
1047 Amsterdam Avenue @ 112th Street

ICNY is honored to join the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine, the Episcopal Diocese of New York, Episcopal Divinity School, Central Synagogue, and other partners in hosting an interfaith Vigil for the Healing of the World, on the evening after the presidential election.  In this time of uncertainty, we will come together across faith lines to reaffirm our shared values of justice, peace, and community. Whether you seek reflection, comfort, or solidarity, this vigil offers a space for everyone to unite and move forward toward a better future.

Speakers will include the Rt. Rev. Matthew F. Heyd, 17th Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of New York; the Rt. Rev. Lawrence Provenzano, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island; the Rev. Dr. Chloe Breyer, Executive Director of the Interfaith Center of New York; Rabbi Joseph Potasnik, Executive Vice President of The New York Board of Rabbis; Imam Dr. Ebad Rahman, Religious Life Associate for Muslim Life at Columbia University; Rabbi Hilly Haber, Director of Social Justice Organizing and Education at Central Synagogue; the Rev. Al Sharpton, Founder and President of the National Action Network; Dr. Simran Jeet Singh, Assistant Professor of Interreligious Histories at Union Theological Seminary; Rev. Doyeon Park, President of the Buddhist Council of New York; and other prominent faith leaders and justice advocates.

Click here to learn more and RSVP, watch online on the Cathedral’s YouTube channel, or just join us at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine on Wednesday, November 6.
