The mission of Miraj Islamic School is to provide excellent all-around education in a pleasant and stimulating Islamic environment. MIS strive for an excellent standard of education, and tries its best to inculcate Islamic manners in their students to become exemplary citizens. The school curriculum provides young learners with a solid educational foundation in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, Islam, and Qur’anic studies. Miraj Islamic school’s foundation is Islam, and overall academics and discipline, with complete trust in Allah (s.w.t). MIS’ facility gives teachers and students the setting they need to engage in all types of indoor educational, physical, and spirituals activities.
MIS, housed in the first Islamic center in Staten Island was established in the year of 1973, as the “Islamic Mesjid of Staten Island.” On September 16, 1990 The Islamic Center relocated and redefined its name to the AICC Albanian Islamic Cultural Center (AICC).
