The Interfaith Center of New York, the New York State Courts Access to Justice Program, and the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) are launching the Free Legal Clinic (FLC), an initiative to bring free civil legal services to needy New Yorkers. This will be the first service of its kind in the state of New York.
On Tuesday, Oct. 25, the Free Legal Clinic (consisting of a team of volunteer attorneys and court clerks) will be setting up offices at the Upper Room Baptist Church in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, to provide private consultations with local people on a variety of legal issues.
