KAICIID Peace Map
WHAT: The International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID) and The Interfaith Center of New York are pleased to invite you to the launch of The Peace Mapping Project, a multi-year effort by KAICIID researchers to gather, analyze, and disseminate information about the hundreds of local and international organizations dedicated to peace-building, conflict resolution and interreligious dialogue here and around the world.
KAICIID will provide valuable information about this interactive, online database which aims to serve as a tool for students, researchers, policymakers and experts to learn and share information about unique and effective interventions and how you may add your organization to the database. ABOUT THE INTERFAITH CENTER OF NEW YORK: The Interfaith Center of New York (ICNY) works to overcome prejudice, violence, and misunderstanding by activating the power of New York City’s grassroots religious and civic leaders and their communities.
ABOUT KAICIID: The KAICIID Dialogue Centre is an intergovernmental organization that uses dialogue to build peace in conflict situations, and to enhance understanding and cooperation between people of different cultures and followers of different religions. The Centre’s mission is to promote dialogue as a way to bridge animosities, reduce fear and instill mutual respect. The founding states of the Centre are the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Austria and the Kingdom of Spain. The Holy See is an observer state. Prominent representatives from five major world religions make up the nine-member Board of Directors. The Board designs and supervises the Centre’s programs, ensuring its credibility across many religious communities.
