
We are pleased to announce that the keynote speaker of our May 2 conference on nonviolent direct action will be Rev. Claudia De la Cruz, the New York State Co-Chair of the Poor People’s Campaign. Rev. De la Cruz is an educator, minister, and community organizer, with experience working in diverse communities throughout New York, particularly with immigrants, youth, and women in West Harlem and Washington Heights/Inwood. She is the founder and general coordinator of Da Urban Butterflies Youth Leadership Development Project (D.U.B), and holds an MDiv/MSW from Columbia University/Union Theological Seminary.
