Summary: A group of young women from across the country recently took part in an event coordinated by the Deaconess Program of the United Methodist Church entitled, “Living Justice.” The 18 participants traveled to New York to learn more about the Deaconess movement in the United Methodist Church andto discover new ways to put their faith into action, and at the same time meet other women whose faith, conviction and commitment moved them to live out their Christian vocation in social justice ministries.
