Meet Rev. Dr. Koshin Paley Ellison – one of the diverse religious leaders and faith-based social service providers speaking at the June 17th Social Work and Religious Diversity conference.
Rev. Dr. Koshin Paley Ellison, LMSW, is the co-founder and co-Executive Director of the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care, the first Buddhist organization in America to offer fully accredited chaplaincy training. He is a Zen Buddhist monk, Dharma teacher, and Jungian psychotherapist. He is the director of NYZCCC’s certificate program in Contemplative Studies, and teaches on Buddhist chaplaincy in a wide range of settings. He is a frequent public speaker, and the author or editor of a number of works, including the forthcoming Awake at the Bedside: Contemplative Palliative and End of Life Care.
