FROM CHICAGO TO BRONX: A CASE STUDY IN PROGRAM REPLICATION – The Save Our Streets program in the South Bronx is the replication of the Chicago Project for Violence Prevention’s evidence-based CeaseFire: The Campaign to Stop the Shooting program, a cutting-edge gun violence prevention model that aims to reduce and prevent shootings through the use of public health strategies. S.O.S. is a coordinated strategy to address local shootings. The Center for Court Innovation currently operates a replication of CeaseFire Chicago in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Community partnerships are a key tenet of the CeaseFire Chicago model. Ife Charles – Deputy director at CCI will talk about the project as well as the ways that religious and community leaders could be great help for gun control.  TO RSVP contact Anushavan Margaryan at (212) 870-3515 or anushavan@interfaithcenter.org – (Please give/send your Name; E-mail; Phone; Organization; Faith; Denomination).
