Following Salaatul-Magrib, we will offer supplications for Muslims who are living with HIV/AIDS throughout the world , or those whom we have known who have passed away from the disease. Imam Al-Hajj Talib ‘Abdur-Rashid (Executive Director, The African- African American Muslim Commission on HIV/AIDS) will make a powerpoint presentation on the Global Jihad Against AIDS being promoted by the International Muslim Leaders Consultation on HIV/AIDS, as well as a look at the AIDS pandemic’s impact on New York City neighborhoods. The first M.I.B. HIV/AIDSquilt will also be exhibited. This event is sponsored by the National Black Leadership Commission on AIDS & The African – African American Muslim Commission on HIV/AIDS.
